In the last week of school we read the story The Night Tree. In the story, the family choose a tree in the forest and decorate it for the animals. We got together with Andrea’s grade three class and together we made pinecone ornaments with peanut butter and birdseed and popcorn and cranberry chains.
At the end of the week after making our tree decorations, we went outside to decorate our tree in our special outdoor learning place. We’ll have to visit our tree in the new year and see if any forest animals have come by for their Christmas treat.
